Wool Soakers

These are my first attempt at knitting up some wool soakers. The pattern came from little turtle knits and was knitted up in a galaway wool. They worked up farely quick but the directions at the gussets were kind of confusing. I wish I had known about wool soakers before I bought diaper covers for my daughter. I guess there is something in the wool that neutralizes the urine smell so you only have to wash them once a week unless there is a blow-out.

Anyway here they are:

My very own cabled socks

Since I picked up my needles again a couple years ago I haven't knitted ANYTHING for myself. I made up my mind what I most wanted was a pair of socks knitted out of the new Noro Sock yarn. I finished the first one at a winter knitting retreat and couldn't wait to post it. I will post another pic when I have both of them knitted.

Dylan's Birthday Zebra

This charming little fellow was knit for a friend's one year old son.

The pattern was out of "knitted Toys" by Fiona McTague and knitted up in an acrylic blend. I am pretty happy with how he turned out and can't wait to get it to Mr.Dylan

Sampler Afghan

This is the beginning of an afghan I am knitting for my in-laws. It is a sampler afghan knit up in a washable wool. I love being able to learn new stiches and patterns while knitting something so warm and cozy.
